Alberta wildfire updates for May 12, 2025 indicate that emergency crews are preparing to allow residents to return to their homes after a wildfire north of Edmonton.


The blaze, which began earlier in the month due to an all-terrain vehicle fire caused by an electrical or mechanical failure, has affected more than 32 square kilometers and led to evacuations in Sturgeon County.
