The EFCC has apprehended 35 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 35 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Auchi, Edo State.

The arrests took place on Vigilante Street, near Sabo Ibenafo Road and the Back of Yak areas of the town. This operation was initiated based on reliable intelligence connecting them to illicit online activities. Seized items during the arrests include nine vehicles, eleven laptops, 46 mobile phones, and two smartwatches. They are expected to face legal proceedings following the completion of the investigation.
