I have just concluded a constructive initial meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney @markjcarney.

We engaged in an extensive discussion regarding the policies and legislation that are impeding Alberta's economic growth, as well as specific proposals for projects and legislative reforms aimed at significantly enhancing market access for Alberta's oil and gas, agricultural products, and other commodities. The Prime Minister expressed his commitment to swiftly promote these nation-building initiatives in the upcoming weeks and months.
 
Additionally, we addressed our ongoing trade conflict with the United States and explored how the federal government can collaborate with our province to further both Canada's and Alberta's interests. Restoring the damage inflicted on Alberta's economy by Ottawa's decade-long anti-resource legislation and policies will require substantial effort and collaboration; however, today's dialogue marked a promising initial step.
