During the official visit to Türkiye, Italy, Egypt, and the UAE, the Governor-General received vital support from dedicated teams at the Australian embassies and consulates. It was crucial for the Governor-General to recognize and learn from their invaluable work, and it was a particular honor to present the Australian Police Medal to AFP Detective Superintendent and Senior Officer to Türkiye, Marie Andersson, in Ankara. Marie has served with distinction since 2003, fostering collaboration and trust with international partners, supporting local authorities, and enhancing lives across different regions. We are deeply appreciative of all those who carry out their duties with such professionalism, dedication, and care in representing Australia and its values overseas.
