The Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum and Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, praised Plateau State's Executive Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for his prompt and effective response to the recent attacks in the rural communities of Bokkos and Bassa Local Government Areas. Leading a significant delegation from the Forum on a solidarity visit to Plateau State, Governor Abdulrazaq expressed his condolences to the state's government and its people over the tragic events and called for united efforts to foster peace and address insecurity nationwide.

He extended heartfelt sympathies to the grieving families and commended the security forces for their crucial role in preventing further violence. "On behalf of the Nigeria Governors' Forum and the citizens of our states, I express our deepest condolences for the tragic events that took the lives of many of our fellow citizens," he stated. "We urge all leaders in Plateau—be they traditional, religious, political, or youth leaders—to unite with His Excellency in fostering a cohesive community and achieving lasting peace. We must collectively denounce violence in all forms. Let us promote dialogue, fair negotiation, mutual respect, and empathy as means of resolving conflicts." Governor Abdulrazaq highlighted that sustainable development cannot flourish amid unrest and violence. "Plateau is rich in agricultural and tourism potential.

Yet, ongoing violence jeopardizes these prospects. We commend Governor Mutfwang for his leadership during this critical time. Our visit underscores our solidarity with the government and people of Plateau State. We pray for the souls of those lost and for peace to be restored throughout the state." In his remarks, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang expressed his deep gratitude for the Nigeria Governors' Forum's visit and support. "On behalf of the government and the people of Plateau State, I sincerely appreciate this gesture. Your presence serves as a powerful reminder that we are not alone in our grief. It inspires hope and provides strength," he remarked.

Characterizing the recent attacks as "senseless and deeply regrettable," the Governor mourned the loss of innocent lives and reaffirmed his administration's dedication to normalizing conditions in the impacted areas. "Since taking office, we have made significant progress in uniting our people across different faiths and ethnicities. For over a year, Plateau State has notably avoided negative publicity. This resurgence of violence is a painful setback, but we remain resolute." Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed the resilience of the Plateau people and his administration's commitment to rebuilding and reinforcing peace. "Our people are strong and full of hope. This is merely an obstacle, but with God's grace, we will overcome it. We are more determined than ever to move forward. Plateau will continue to be known as the Home of Peace and Tourism." He also promised to continuously assess and enhance security strategies while welcoming innovative ideas and partnerships from various stakeholders. "We do not claim to have all the solutions. We are open to new perspectives and are ready to tackle our shortcomings. Together, we will create a more secure and unified Plateau." **Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Executive Governor of Plateau State**
