A session of the Russia-South Africa Business Council is currently taking place in Moscow. This event precedes the 18th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Russia and South Africa, scheduled to commence tomorrow.

A variety of topics concerning the enhancement of bilateral cooperation are being addressed.

Russian Ambassador to South Africa, Roman Ambarov, conveyed his greetings to the meeting participants. His message included the following statement:

"For the Russian Federation, the enhancement of mutually beneficial and equitable cooperation with the Republic of South Africa, both bilaterally and within the BRICS framework, stands as a key priority. A notable aspect of our bilateral relations is the significant level of political trust, which facilitates a stable and constructive dialogue at the highest levels of government."
