A national from El Salvador, linked to the Gulf Cartel, a Mexican drug

A national from El Salvador, linked to the Gulf Cartel, a Mexican Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO), is one of six individuals apprehended during an operation led by the FBI in collaboration with the New Orleans Police Department, Louisiana State Police, Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office, and agents from Customs and Border Patrol as well as ICE's Enforcement and Removal Operations.

Among those arrested, three are immigration detainees, while the other three were taken into custody by the New Orleans Police Department and are facing state-level charges.
