Summary: On the morning of Saturday, April 12, all downtown stations on 7 Avenue, along with a few nearby stations, will be closed for essential maintenance and inspection.

From the start of service until 10:12 a.m., shuttle buses will be replacing CTrain services at affected downtown stations. After 10:12 a.m., the stations will reopen, and single tracking will commence at City Hall/Bow Valley College, where only the north platform will be available for travel in both directions until Sunday at 11:00 p.m. No other stations will be affected by this single tracking, and three-car trains will operate throughout the weekend.

Full CTrain services will resume by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. Details of the Closure: PART 1 – FULL CLOSURE: - The Red Line will not operate between Sunnyside and Victoria Park/Stampede stations; shuttle buses will replace train services at all affected downtown stops.
- Passengers can transfer to the northbound CTrain (Tuscany) at Sunnyside and the southbound CTrain (Somerset-Bridlewood) at Victoria Park/Stampede.
- The Blue Line will be closed between Sunalta and Bridgeland/Memorial stations, with shuttle buses available for all downtown stops, Westbrook Station, and Shaganappi Point Station. - For eastbound passengers towards City Centre, we recommend transferring to shuttles at Westbrook Station. However, remain on the train if headed to Shaganappi Point or Sunalta. Important Note for Westbound Travel to Sunalta Station: You must board a separate shuttle to reach Sunalta Station. The Sunalta shuttle will also stop at Downtown West/Kerby (for transfers from the Red Line) and at the bus stop on 6 Ave SW at 11 St SW (for transfers from the Blue Line). Buses will travel west on 6 Ave S and east on 9 Ave S downtown. Stations will reopen at 10:12 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, except for City Hall/Bow Valley College. PART 2 – SINGLE TRACKING: Please note that City Hall/Bow Valley College Station will not be fully closed but will undergo partial closure.
The south track will be unavailable for maintenance from 10:12 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, until 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. Passengers will need to use the north platform for all directions of travel. Three-car trains will be in service on both Saturday and Sunday to accommodate additional passengers due to the service disruptions.
Full CTrain operations will resume by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 13. Why This Work is Necessary: These closures are essential for maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient transit system for Calgarians. While some work can be done without service interruptions, certain projects require complete closure for safety reasons. Scheduled work this weekend includes: - Inspection of the overhead catenary system - Replacement of switches at the Olympic Plaza crossovers - Additional projects as time permits We appreciate your understanding and patience during these necessary closures.
