Figures like Andrew Coyne and Warren Kinsella seemed relentless in their verbal assaults against her.

Yet, when Smith attempts to connect with influential American figures to advocate for Alberta's interests, she's accused of pandering and making political blunders. "These reactions are steeped in ideological bias. Had Premier Smith belonged to the Liberal or NDP parties, her efforts would likely be praised as astute political maneuvering. Unfortunately, as a conservative woman, she faces the harshest criticism. The left seems to reserve its most vitriolic attacks for women in conservative politics. "It's time for voters in Canada, both women and men, to recognize the hypocrisy of so-called feminists who claim to support women's equality
