Men from Edmonton and Calgary are accused of threatening to kill  a number of  Canada's  pinnacle  authorities  leaders.

On May 10, Mounties  have been  alerted  approximately  a  chance  to kill Prime Minister Justin Trudeau  at the  social media platform X,  previously  called  Twitter.




Mason John Baker, a 23-year-  antique  Calgary resident,  became  charged on June 6 with uttering threats  towards  someone  opposite  to  segment  264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

In a separate investigation, Mounties  found out  on June 7 that YouTube  person  Garry Belzevick, 67, allegedly  published  threats to kill Trudeau, Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, and New Democratic Party Leader Jagmeet Singh.

Belzevick, from Edmonton,  became  charged on June  thirteen  with  3  counts of the  identical  offence as Baker.

"In the  virtual  age,  wherein  such a lot of  interactions  arise  on-line  and are  seemed to  be anonymous,  there's  a  notion  that  digital  moves  and  phrases  do  now no longer  have consequences," Insp. Matthew Johnson commented.

"When  those  digital  moves  or  phrases  go  the bounds  of Charter-  included  speech and  represent  crook  activity, police will  look into  very well  to  preserve  the ones  accountable  accountable."

Both Baker and Belzevick will  seem  in  courtroom docket  of their  respective  towns  this week.
