A mother and her child were involved in a hit-and-run incident involving a dark-colored truck in southeast Calgary, according to police reports.

The Calgary police responded to the scene on Monday morning, shortly after 7 a.m., near the intersection of 76 Avenue SE and Ogden Road SE.

Initial reports indicate that both the mother and child sustained minor injuries as a result of being struck by the vehicle.

Witnesses described the vehicle as a dark-colored truck that fled the scene following the incident. Additionally, it was reported that there was a passenger in the truck at the time.

Traffic delays occurred in the vicinity while paramedics attended to the injured pedestrians.

The Calgary police are continuing their investigation into this incident and are urging anyone with relevant information to reach out to them.
