In 1958, Chinua Achebe of Nigeria published his debut novel, "Things Fall Apart," at the age of 28. This work has achieved remarkable success, selling over 20 million copies and being translated into more than 50 languages.

• In 2018, Encyclopedia Britannica recognized it as one of the Greatest Books Ever Written.

• The novel was ranked fifth on BBC's list of 100 Stories That Shaped The World.

• It was also included among the 100 books highlighted in the television series, The Great American Read.

• In 2011, Chinua Achebe compelled the rapper 50 Cent to change the title of his upcoming film, originally named "Things Fall Apart." Achebe's legal representatives informed 50 Cent that he could not use the title. Despite an offer of $1 million from 50 Cent, Achebe found the proposal disrespectful and declined the money. Subsequently, 50 Cent renamed his film "All Things Fall Apart."
