European leaders meet in London to discuss Ukraine Following the Trump altercation, the UK extends a warm welcome to Zelenskyy of Ukraine.European leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, are attending a meeting hosted by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer with the goal of strengthening support for "securing a just and enduring peace" in Ukraine. Leaders from Turkiye, NATO, the European Union, France, Germany, and other European countries are attending the London gathering. 
It occurs two days after Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump got into an unusual public altercation at the White House on a potential agreement with Russia, which invaded Ukraine in full in February 2022. Starmer and Zelenskyy approved a $2.8 billion financing agreement on Saturday to strengthen Ukraine's defences against Russian assaults. According to Starmer, a ceasefire proposal will be drafted by the UK, France, and Ukraine and presented to the US. 

 "A once-in-a-generation opportunity for the security of Europe": PM of the UK Starmer called the current state of affairs "a once in a generation moment for the security of Europe and we all need to step up" as the crucial negotiations in London got underway. With Zelenskyy and Macron at his sides, the summit host delivered the remarks.
