Alberta  takes border security seriously. We are taking concrete steps to  combat fentanyl trafficking and illegal  immigration.
Our new Interdiction Patrol (IPT)  team is now on the ground along the  Canada-US 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 border,  adding:
• 51 Alberta  Sheriffs
• 4 patrol dogs ready to track and  eliminate threats
• 10 cold weather drones for 24/7  surveillance
• 4 narcotics analyzers  for the detection and  interdiction of deadly  drugs
... and more tools to keep Albertans safe.
My sincere thanks to Public Safety  Minister Mike Ellis @MikeEllisUCP and all Alberta Sheriffs for leading this charge and  ensuring criminals get the message.
