Netanyahu-affiliated spokesman Eli Feldstein was detained on suspicion of evading military censorship by leaking confidential intelligence to European media.

According to reports, the leaks jeopardized hostage talks with Hamas.

Feldstein, who collaborated closely with Netanyahu despite lacking a security clearance, is charged with swaying public opinion in favour of the PM during crucial negotiations.

Three unidentified defence officers are involved in the inquiry, and the accused could spend up to 15 years behind bars.
