A video from Tarn Taran showing Punjab Police beating a young man named Dharampreet Singh, alias Mukhmantri, is going viral. Following this, SP (D) Ajay Raj Singh stated that the two policemen seen beating the boy have been suspended. However, he added that Dharampreet had an altercation with the officers and had removed one of the policeman's turbans. On the other hand, Dharampreet claims that when he was leaving his home, a neighbor's dog attacked him, and in self-defense, he struck the dog with a sword. His neighbor then called the police, who allegedly began beating him.
