After Trump's victory, India is prepared to open its market to American companies.

India is allegedly willing to lower tariffs for American businesses in return for better trade conditions for Indian goods after Trump's election triumph.

Trump has promised to adopt a stronger trade policy after previously criticizing India's high tariffs.

Both countries were close to reaching a trade pact during Trump's first term, and New Delhi now sees a chance for a free trade agreement under "Trump II," according to India's former ambassador to the United States.
