According to Toronto police, an electric car struck a guardrail and then caught fire.

Four persons, thought to be in their 20s, perished in the collision, according to Toronto police.

According to Toronto Paramedic Services, one person was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.

Both directions of Lake Shore Boulevard are closed while police look into the deadly collision between Cherry Street and the Don Valley Parkway.
