A Langdon man who attacked and killed his mother in 2023 was ruled not criminally responsible (NCR) by an Alberta court for her demise.

On Thursday, the Alberta Court of King's Bench issued a ruling in the lawsuit against Scott DeMolitor .

According to the court, DeMolitor, 31, was first accused of second-degree murder after the assault, which happened on May 26, 2023, at the family's residence. Later, that charge was reduced to manslaughter.

Audra, DeMolitor's 56-year-old mother, passed away on June 7 from her wounds in the hospital.
