Premier Smith has visited numerous schools and understands that Alberta teachers put in a lot of effort.

Our proposal includes hiring 3,000 new teachers and providing a 12 percent raise over four years, resulting in the highest take-home pay for teachers in Western Canada. This initiative aims to enhance students' access to their teachers and improve support in the classroom.

It is a concrete plan designed to provide immediate assistance in classrooms. We hope the ATA agrees so we can implement this for students, families, and teachers this year.
