Gully erosion has become a persistent threat to the Mongaji area of Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria, resulting in significant loss of properties within the community.

Heavy rainfall and flooding have exacerbated the issue, causing widespread damage to homes, businesses, and infrastructure. The erosion has not only led to financial losses but also displaced residents, disrupting the social fabric of the community. It is imperative that the relevant authorities take prompt action to address this issue, implementing measures such as drainage construction and soil stabilization to mitigate the effects of gully erosion and restore stability to the affected area.
