Premier Smith:ALBERTA'S AVIATION SECTOR CONTINUES TO SOAR

The Alberta government has made a substantial commitment to the province's aviation sector, investing nearly $11 million in the Alberta Training Centre of Excellence at Calgary International Airport.

This 126,000 square foot facility, developed in partnership with industry leaders such as WestJet and CAE, will train over 6,000 professionals annually. The initiative is anticipated to generate $400 million in economic activity over 15 years, supporting the growth of a sector that currently employs 19,000 people and reinforcing Alberta's position as a leader in aviation.
