Premier Smith expressed gratitude to Chet Thompson, President and CEO of the American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers, for hosting a keynote speech and fireside chat at the Fall Board of Directors meeting. He acknowledged the important advocacy against tariffs on Canadian energy and appreciated the opportunity to share Alberta's energy narrative with the members.


Later in the afternoon, he met with Lynn Granger, President and CEO of the Colorado Oil and Gas Association, and their VP of Regulatory Affairs, Ryan Steadly. He also met with Steve Cohron, President of the Fed Beef Division of JBS Foods USA. He noted that Alberta's diverse industries are prepared to support global demand for energy and agriculture for many years.
