Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has admonished individuals and groups against using the welfare of the people for political gains, emphasizing that his administration is committed to serving the residents of the state without discrimination. The newly-inaugurated 34-year-old, who is also the state's youngest-ever executive governor, made this statement as part of his efforts to ensure that the state moves forward.

Adeleke's warning comes amidst a backdrop of heightened political activities and the potential for politicians to exploit the needs of the people for their own benefit. The Governor emphasized that the well-being of the citizens of Osun State is paramount and should not be compromised for any political motives.

Since taking office, Adeleke has implemented several policies aimed at improving the standard of living in Osun. These actions underscore his commitment to delivering on his campaign promises and addressing the challenges facing the state, which include education, health, infrastructure, and job creation.

Some of the key achievements of his administration so far include:

1. Payment of workers' salaries and pensions: Adeleke prioritized the welfare of civil servants and pensioners by ensuring that all outstanding salaries and pensions are paid promptly. This move has been applauded by the workforce and has significantly reduced the hardship faced by these groups.

2. Rehabilitation of public infrastructure: The government has embarked on the repair and maintenance of dilapidated roads, schools, and health facilities across the state. This is in line with his promise to provide a conducive environment for residents and boost the state's economy.

3. Education reforms: The Adeleke administration has shown a strong commitment to revamping the education sector. Plans are in place to upgrade learning facilities, improve the quality of education, and ensure that teachers are well-equipped to deliver on their mandate.

4. Healthcare development: In a bid to ensure that Osun citizens have access to affordable and quality healthcare, the government has been working on restoring and equipping health centers while also implementing policies to enhance the health sector's overall efficiency.

5. Economic revitalization: Adeleke is focused on creating jobs and revitalizing the economy through various initiatives aimed at supporting small and medium-scale enterprises and attracting investments to the state.

The Governor's warning is a clear indication that he is aware of the tendency for political actors to manipulate the population for personal gain. By setting the tone early on, he is sending a message that his government will operate with transparency and be accountable to the people.

The citizens of Osun State are hopeful that the current administration will continue to prioritize their welfare and make sustainable progress in addressing the state's challenges. The coming months and years will be critical in determining the effectiveness of Adeleke's policies and whether he can fulfill his promises to lead Osun towards a more prosperous future.
