President Emmanuel Macron of France stated in a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel that advocating for an independent Palestinian state does not foster antisemitism. Instead, he emphasized that it is a crucial step towards ensuring security for both Israel and Europe.

"Our commitment to supporting the establishment of a State for the Palestinian people is based on our conviction that achieving lasting peace is vital for the security of the State of Israel," the French president wrote in the private letter, a copy of which was acquired by The New York Times.
