Fire incident at Avenue Living apartment complex in Southwest Calgary:

"Early morning on August 24, 2025, a fire broke out on a balcony at Avenue Living, a residential complex located at 2017 90 Ave. S.W. in Southwest Calgary. The blaze quickly spread to two adjacent units, prompting the prompt response of the Calgary Fire Department. Thanks to their swift action, the fire was successfully extinguished, preventing further damage to the property.

Unfortunately, the fire resulted in the displacement of the residents from the two affected units. Additionally, occupants of two other units may also need to be relocated temporarily due to significant smoke damage. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety precautions and the need for regular maintenance checks to prevent such incidents. An investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
