The Order of Australia Student Citizenship Awards are a prestigious recognition of the outstanding efforts and contributions made by young students in the community. The awardees have shown remarkable dedication to various causes, from fundraising and volunteering to tutoring and developing programs that benefit others. Their selfless acts exemplify the values of citizenship, service, and leadership, setting a high standard for their peers and serving as role models in the Canberra community.

The Medallion Award recipients are Diya Sreesan from St Clare's College, Lucy Jerga from Merici College, and Thomas Liu from Radford College. These students have gone above and beyond in their commitment to making a positive difference.

The Highly Commended Certificate Awards were presented to Winnie Herring and Ashima Kinloch-Paul from Canberra Grammar School, Lachlan Lloyd from Radford College, and Violet Roberts and Elke Nicholls from Hawker Primary School. Their achievements are a testament to their initiative and creativity in serving their communities.

Group Certificate Awards were given to students from Radford Junior School, Canberra Sanskrit School, Mary MacKillop College, St Jude's Primary School, and St Thomas More's Primary School, highlighting their collective efforts and collaborative spirit.

Additionally, Commended Certificate Awards were received by Brayden Fowler and Mose Taitini from St Edmund's College, Georgia Karle and Kate Riley from The Burgmann Anglican School, and Amber Smith, Emily Passlow, and Emma Osbourne-Laverty from Radford College Senior School. Their individual efforts and commitment to community service are truly commendable.

The Governor-General's praise for these students underscores the significance of their contributions and the inspiration they provide. This event is a reminder of the incredible potential of young people to drive change and improve the lives of others.
