Scotia Place Construction Update

Following the completion of the Stampede, the Scotia Place construction site witnessed significant progress in July, marked by several notable developments. The month saw a substantial increase in activity, propelling the project forward.

One of the most notable achievements was the pouring of over 1,000 cubic meters of concrete for the initial section of the mezzanine/club level concourse. This milestone demonstrates the project's steady progress toward its completion.

Additionally, the installation of rebar and a waterproof barrier was completed for the loading dock, and the foundation walls began to take shape. To date, more than 50% of the foundation walls have been finished, showcasing the project's rapid advancement.

Electrical conduit installation also saw significant progress, with over 6,000 meters (approximately 20,000 feet) installed in July, bringing the total to more than 7,000 meters (about 23,000 feet). This represents approximately 1% of the project's total conduit requirement.

Further developments included the installation of columns for the main concourse on the south side, as well as the construction of the southwest elevator core and stairwell, facilitating access to the lower seating bowls. Work also commenced on the southwest stormwater tank, the second of three tanks designed to capture and temporarily store excess rainwater.
