Tragic Incident Claims Life of 45-Year-Old Woman

In a shocking turn of events, a 45-year-old woman, Christine BECK, lost her life in a tragic incident that has shaken the community. On August 6, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers from the North District General Patrol responded to a report of an unresponsive female in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue.

Upon arriving at the scene, emergency personnel were already providing medical care to the victim, who was later transported to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries, leaving behind a trail of grief and unanswered questions.

The Winnipeg Police Service's Homicide Unit took over the investigation, working closely with Manitoba Prosecution Services to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident. Following a thorough investigation, the authorities have charged two individuals, 36-year-old Cailie Lauren CHARTRAND and 36-year-old Bradley Kenneth JONES, with Manslaughter.

The accused were arrested on August 7, 2025, at around 2:00 a.m. and have been detained in custody pending further proceedings. As the investigation continues, the Winnipeg Police Service is urging anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist in bringing justice to the victim and her loved ones.
