Rising Star Anmol Jhally Dazzles at U16 Canada National Championship

The field hockey community is abuzz with excitement as Anmol Jhally, a talented youngster from Alberta, has secured a coveted spot on the prestigious Tournament 11 at the Under-16 Canada National Championship. Held from August 1-5, 2025, at the Cassie Campbell Turf Field in Brampton, Ontario, the tournament witnessed Anmol's exceptional skills and dedication to the sport.

Representing Team Alberta, Anmol demonstrated his remarkable prowess throughout the tournament, earning the title of Player of the Match in the opening game and ending as the top goal scorer for his team with an impressive tally of four goals. His commanding presence in midfield was a key factor in Alberta's success.

This achievement is a testament to Anmol's hard work and dedication, as well as the nurturing environment provided by the United Field Hockey Club Calgary. It is noteworthy that five athletes from the club proudly represented Alberta at the national championship, marking a significant improvement from previous years.

The selection to the esteemed Tournament 11 is a rare honor, with only 11 players chosen from across the country. Anmol's inclusion in this elite group is a remarkable feat, making him the sole field player from Alberta to receive this accolade.

Anmol's outstanding achievement adds to his already impressive field hockey resume, which includes playing for Team Canada's Under-17 squad last year. We extend our warmest congratulations to Anmol Jhally and the United Field Hockey Club Calgary on this outstanding achievement, which is a testament to their dedication to fostering exceptional talent in Canadian field hockey.
