Governor-General unveiled the Genestreaming Journey Sculpture

At Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, the Governor-General unveiled the Genestreaming Journey Sculpture — "Bunya Mountains to Boyce Gardens Toowoomba" — a stunning permanent installation gifted to Singapore by the City of Toowoomba to mark 60 years of diplomatic relations.

Conceived by Aboriginal Elder Aunty Carol Pettersen OAM, artist Ben Beeton, and scientific illustrator Mali Moir, this masterpiece beautifully weaves together First Nations cultures, scientific discovery, and conservation through art.

While at Gardens by the Bay, one of the Flower Dome's majestic Queensland Bottle Trees was dedicated to the Governor-General as part of anniversary celebrations.

The Australian Garden in the Flower Dome is alive with the bold, resilient flora of Australia's diverse landscapes — a living tribute to the spirit of collaboration and environmental stewardship.
