Alberta and Yukon have entered into a new agreement aimed at enhancing trade, creating jobs, and boosting investment between the two regions.

Premier Danielle Smith of Alberta and Premier Mike Pemberton of Yukon formalized the agreement during the Council of the Federation meeting held in Ontario from July 21 to 23. Further details: "Job-protected" leave provision introduced for Alberta reservists "Canada's premiers are united in our commitment to dismantle the barriers that have hindered our workers and economies for too long," stated Smith. "This agreement marks a significant step into a new era of collaboration, allowing provinces and territories to fully harness the potential of our national economy." The memorandum of understanding (MOU) is designed to facilitate increased sales of goods and services from Alberta businesses to the Yukon.
