The Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos has granted the final forfeiture of two cars, a white Bentley Coupe and a blue Toyota Venza, belonging to a suspect named German Daniel Onoriode, who is believed to be involved in internet fraud.

Additionally, the court has granted an interim forfeiture of $20,000 and CFA 110,000 as well as a blue Nissan Almera car. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had approached the court for the forfeitures, presenting evidence that linked the vehicles and the money to fraudulent activities. The cars were recovered during a sting operation in Lekki, Lagos, and the money was found in an abandoned Nissan Almera at the Seme Border area during a customs operation. The court has ordered the EFCC to publish the interim order in a national newspaper, allowing any interested parties to present their cases as to why the funds and property should not be permanently forfeited to the Nigerian government.
