APPOINTMENT OF NEW MINISTERS AND ASSISTANT MINISTER

It is my pleasure to announce that, after careful consideration, I have made the decision to appoint two new Ministers to my Cabinet, as well as a new Assistant Minister. These appointments are designed to strengthen our government's capacity to deliver effective services to the people of Fiji.

I am delighted to announce that Honourable Lynda Tabuya will assume the role of Minister for Information. As the current holder of the Information portfolio, I am confident that Hon. Tabuya's strong communication skills and experience will enable her to excel in spearheading our government's public relations machinery through the Ministry of Information.

Furthermore, Honourable Tomasi Tunabuna will take on the role of Minister for Agriculture. Having served as an effective Assistant Minister in the Ministry, I am confident that he will build on the progress made by his predecessors, including the late Honourable Vatimi Rayalu and Honourable Alitia Bainivalu, who graciously acted in the role.

In addition, Honourable Inosi Kuridrani will be appointed as the Assistant Minister for Agriculture, bringing a wealth of expertise to support the Minister and the Ministry.

These appointments will come into effect following a swearing-in ceremony, which will be conducted by His Excellency the President, tomorrow, 5 August 2025. I am confident that these new appointments will further enhance our government's ability to serve the people of Fiji and drive progress in our great nation.
