The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has reported that Israeli forces targeted its headquarters in Gaza, resulting in the death of one worker and injuries to three others. The humanitarian group stated that the attack, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, "ignited a fire within the building." Labeling the strike on its facility in Khan Younis as "deliberate," the Red Crescent emphasized that its headquarters is "well known" to the Israeli military and is "clearly marked with the protective red emblem." In response to the allegations made by the PRCS, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) informed the BBC that they had "no knowledge of any artillery or air strikes" related to the incident. A video released by the Red Crescent on social media depicted flames engulfing parts of the building amidst billowing smoke, while subsequent images revealed extensive damage and significant bloodstains in the aftermath. In its statement, the aid agency identified the deceased worker as Omar Isleem, expressing that it was "heartbroken" over his loss. Additionally, the organization reported that two other workers and a civilian who was attempting to extinguish the fire were injured during the attack.
