(APC) in Jigawa State have officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

Approximately 573 individuals from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State have officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the opposition gears up for the 2027 general elections.

The group, hailing from Sabuwar Dan Masara town in Dutse, was introduced to PDP leaders during a ceremony held on Friday. Mustapha Adamu (Shugaba), representing the defectors, explained that their choice to leave the APC in favor of the PDP was motivated by a desire for meaningful change in light of the country's ongoing challenges. He voiced his dissatisfaction with the leadership and policies of the APC, citing a lack of inclusivity and a failure to address the people's needs. Mustapha expressed optimism that the PDP would provide a more effective platform to achieve their aspirations.
