Governor Adeleke Directs Immediate Repairs on Iwo-Osogbo Road in Preparation for Comprehensive Reconstruction

Governor Adeleke of Osun State has instructed the Ministry of Works to immediately begin spot rehabilitation work on the Iwo-Osogbo road, which has been significantly affected by the ongoing rainy season.


This action is intended to provide relief to motorists who frequently use the route, which connects five local governments to the state capital. The decision comes as the procurement process for the full reconstruction of the road is nearing completion. The state government has developed a plan to expedite the project by dividing it into three sections and engaging three different construction companies, with an aim to complete the work in less than a year. The governor has assured residents of the affected local governments that his administration is fully committed to improving the road's condition and that the project will be handled with adherence to due process and procurement laws.
