Bloc Quebecois prepared to demand benefits for Quebec in return for its backing

Now that the Liberal government's confidence and supply arrangement with the NDP has ended, the Bloc Québécois says it is prepared to haggle with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's party for support during confidence votes.

Furthermore, Yves-François Blanchet's sovereigntist party has already developed a list of demands.

 Bloc House Leader Alain Therrien says his party is pleased to have regained the balance of power in an interview conducted prior to Monday's party caucus retreat in the Outaouais region.

Now that the Liberals are genuinely a minority administration, he referred to the circumstances as a "window of opportunity".
