Jordan and the UAE have initiated air drops into Gaza following Israel's announcement of a new set of aid measures.

In northern Gaza Strip, internally displaced Palestinians are seen attempting to seize bags of flour from an aid truck near a food distribution site in Zikim. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) report that they are establishing aid corridors to counter claims of intentional starvation, as agencies have raised concerns over rising malnutrition in the region.

Additionally, Jordan is dispatching 60 trucks filled with essential food supplies, according to the country's state-run news agency, while Egypt is also sending more aid by land. However, aid organizations have consistently warned that air drops alone cannot adequately address the crisis in Gaza, with one organization labeling it a "grotesque distraction." According to BBC World Correspondent Joe Inwood, around 160 air drop flights would be required just to provide one meal for each of the approximately two million residents of Gaza. The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza reports that at least 133 individuals have succumbed to malnutrition since the onset of the conflict.
