The comprehensive program took place at her residence and included specialized training in various critical areas: 80 participants received instruction in Drone Security and Environmental Sustainability/Remediation, 50 focused on Fabrication Techniques, another 50 on Renewable Energy Installation, and 70 on Data Analytics and Digital Transformation. This initiative is part of the senator's larger mission to equip youths and educational institutions with essential skills and modern technologies for sustainable development. At the closing ceremony, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan described the project as a vital initiative for human capital development, aimed at narrowing the technology and skills gap in Nigeria's changing socio-economic environment. "Our people deserve access to the best technology for self-reliance," she stated. A notable moment of the event was the distribution of 80 DJI Neo drones to both individual trainees and educational institutions. She clarified that these drones are compliant with Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) regulations, lightweight (under 250 grams), and versatile enough to be utilized in various applications beyond traditional photography and videography. Senator Natasha highlighted the transformative potential of drone technology in sectors such as security, agriculture, construction, oil and gas, delivery logistics, environmental monitoring, and infrastructure surveillance. She drew inspiration from countries like South Africa, Egypt, Malawi, and Ethiopia, which have successfully incorporated drone technology into their national development initiatives.
