Calgary police report that a worker has died in an explosion.

"Tragedy struck in southeast Calgary on July 17, 2025, when a pressurized tank explosion claimed the life of a man in his 30s.

The incident occurred at a workplace on the 7300 block of 107 Ave. S.E. Emergency services responded promptly, transporting the victim to the hospital with severe injuries.

Unfortunately, authorities confirmed on Friday that the man had succumbed to his injuries. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the explosion. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the victim during this difficult time."
