Essex Police have reported an aircraft crash at London Southend Airport in Southend-on-Sea.

The incident occurred shortly before 4 PM BST on Sunday. The fire services are currently dealing with a 12-meter plane that is on fire. The East of England Ambulance Service has dispatched four crews to the scene, including a rapid response vehicle, a hazardous area response vehicle, and a senior paramedic. The exact nature of the crash and any injuries are not yet known. As a result of the incident, all flights from Southend Airport have been canceled. The public has been advised to avoid the area to allow emergency services to carry out their operations.
