A collision took place between a Ford Mustang and a Dodge 3500 pickup truck, resulting in the death of a 51-year-old man from Strathmore who was found inside the Mustang. The pickup truck was reportedly driven by a 16-year-old female who swerved into oncoming traffic, causing the head-on collision. There were four occupants in the pickup truck at the time of the incident, all of whom sustained non-life-threatening injuries with at least one being taken to the hospital.

RCMP Cpl. Troy Savinkoff highlighted the tragic nature of such crashes and emphasized the importance of safe driving practices, especially with increased summer traffic. The investigation is ongoing to determine if impairment played a role in the crash, and no charges have been laid yet.
