Australia is enhancing our trade, security, and defense relationships with the EU.

Today, we have reached an agreement to initiate negotiations for a Security and Defence Partnership.

This partnership will serve as a framework for our existing and expanding cooperation in sectors such as the defense industry, cybersecurity, and counter-terrorism.

Additionally, we are restarting discussions for a Free Trade Agreement, which is expected to create more employment opportunities in both Australia and Europe.
