Man arrested after Saint John police seize more than 15K worth of drugs.

A 34-year-old man is facing drug trafficking charges after the Saint John Police Force seized what they believe to be fentanyl and cocaine.

Police arrested Kyle Hunter at approximately 2:15 p.m., Tuesday for the following alleged crimes:




possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
possession of property obtained by proceeds of crime

Police said evidence seized included but was not limited to:

74.7 grams of a substance believed to be fentanyl
7.4 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine
$943.75 in Canadian currency
six cellphones
two digital scales
Then estimated total street value of the seized drugs is $15,680, said police in a news release.

Hunter appeared in court Wednesday. He is scheduled to appear again for election and plea on June 25.

Members of the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force, New Brunswick Justice and Public Safety, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police assisted Saint John Police in the investigation through the Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit.
