The exam was held across various centers with no reported issues, reflecting the strong interest and public trust in the country's unity schools. The Federal Government's commitment to merit-based admissions, state quotas, and provisions for children of civil servants and those with special needs was emphasized. The high turnout of female candidates (34,000) compared to male candidates (30,000) suggests a growing gender balance in the pursuit of education in these institutions.

Lagos State had the highest number of registered candidates, while Togo had the lowest. The NECO Registrar, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, expressed satisfaction with the exam's organization and the efforts to ensure a fair and inclusive process for all participants.
