The meeting took place on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Indonesia.

Wang highlighted the importance of deepening political mutual trust and fostering closer ties. He emphasized the need to push forward high-quality development of significant projects such as the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR) and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Corridor (RCEP), which are part of China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). The RCEP is a proposed mega trade deal that aims to integrate the economies of China, the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.

Moreover, the two parties discussed the enhancement of cooperation in various sectors, including ocean and minerals, and the exploration of opportunities in emerging fields. This meeting underscores China's commitment to its economic partnerships and its ongoing efforts to expand the BRI's influence and collaborations.
