Gary Lineker Expected to Leave the BBC

Lineker, who has been the face of "Match of the Day" since 1999 and has been the BBC's highest-paid on-air personality for several consecutive years, issued an unreserved apology for the repost. However, he was expected to continue hosting coverage of the FA Cup and the 2026 World Cup for the BBC.
