The south health zone of Alberta, which includes cities like Taber, Medicine Hat, and Lethbridge, is the most affected area with nearly two-thirds of the cases (230). The central health zone has the second-highest number with 89 cases. Most of the infected individuals (229) were not immunized, and the majority of cases are in children aged five and under (114 cases) and people aged five to 17 (181 cases). 19 individuals have been hospitalized. In comparison, British Columbia had reported nine cases, Saskatchewan had 27, and Manitoba had 20.
