Operatives from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have apprehended a 22-year-old British citizen found in possession of two suitcases containing 35 parcels of "Loud," a potent strain of cannabis, totaling 37.60 kg.

The agency's Director of Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, identified the individual as Campbell Kaizra Kofi Johannes Slifer. Campbell was intercepted at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos, on Friday after arriving from Thailand via Doha on a Qatar Airways flight with the illicit cargo. Babafemi disclosed that Campbell has a history of two prior convictions in the UK for drug trafficking and robbery. He was reportedly recruited in London to travel to Thailand to retrieve the illegal substances and transport them to Nigeria. Just six days before Campbell's arrest, NDLEA operatives detained a woman named Ihensekhien Miracle Obehi at the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers. Obehi attempted to smuggle significant quantities of cocaine to Iran while disguised in a hijab.

She hid the drugs within her body and in a false compartment in her handbag. After being placed under observation, Obehi expelled 67 packets of cocaine from her stomach after several days of excretion. Babafemi added that she had intended to swallow 70 pellets, but was unable to ingest the last three and resorted to concealing them in her body.
